Sergeant Duane M. Yirka

DUANE YIRKA: Carrying a belt of ammunition, Sergeant Duane M. Yirka served as a radio-gunner with VMB-443.

GEORGE MCDERMENT: Corporal George W. McDerment served as an armorer-turret gunner with VMB-443.  Initially trained with VMB-463, George arrived overseas to join VMB-443 in June 1945.
